Jonathan Blitstein

Jonathan Blitstein (born 1982 Lincolnshire, Illinois) is a former American playwright, and indie filmmaker. He currently runs Tandem Pictures, and previously was an executive at Astronauts Wanted (Sony Music Entertainment) and Maker Studios, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. Blitstein previously created the film Let Them Chirp Awhile and a play Keep Your Baggage With You for which he won the New York Innovative Theater Award (2011).[1][2]

Education

"He is an honors alumnus of the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television Production at the Tisch School of the Arts, NYU."[3] Blitstein previously studied acting at The Second City Workshop and The Piven Theater in Chicago, LAByrinth Theater, and Primary Stages in New York City.
