John Russell, 27th Baron de Clifford
John Edward Southwell Russell, 27th Lord de Clifford[1] (establishment: 1299) (b. 8 June 1928) is a Peer of England of the Feudal barony of Clifford in Herefordshire, England.
Family
Lord Clifford is the son of Lieutenant Colonel Edward Russell, 26th Baron de Clifford (1907–1982) and Dorothy Evelyn (Meyrick).
Lord Clifford married Bridget Jennifer Robertson, daughter of Duncan Robertson and Joyce Williams-Wynn, on 27 June 1959.[1] They have no children.
Education
Lord Clifford received his early education at Eton College, Windsor. He was later educated at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester.[1]
Portraits exist from this period, from 1939 and 1948, now held by the National Portrait Gallery, London.[2]
Succession
He became the 27th Lord de Clifford on 3 January 1982.[1]
As he has no children, the heir presumptive is the present holder's nephew, Miles Edward Southwell Russell (b. 1966).
