John Lockman (priest)

John Lockman D.D. (d. 1807) was a Canon of Windsor from 1758 to 1807[1]

Career

He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford and graduated BA in 1748, and MA and DD in 1769.[2]

He was appointed:

  • Rector of Hartley Westpall 1769
  • Rector of West Ilsley 1786
  • Master of the Hospital of St Cross Winchester

He was appointed to the second stall in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle in 1758, and held the stall until 1807.
