John Leslie, 11th Earl of Rothes

John Leslie (19 October 1744 - 18 June 1773) was the 11th Earl of Rothes and served as Earl from December 10, 1767 to his death on June 18th 1773.[1]

He was the son of the 10th Earl also named John Leslie and his wife Hannah Howard who was the Countess of Rothes and died in 1761 during her term as countess.

He married Jane Maitland on April 4, 1768[2] but had no children, after his death the title of Earl was passed to his sister Lady Jane Elizabeth Leslie who was 6 years younger than John.
