John James Bird

John James Bird (September 11, 1844 – January 2, 1933[1]) was a political figure in Manitoba. He represented Kildonan from 1892 to 1895 in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba as a Liberal.

The son of Henry Bird,[2] Bird married Margaret Peebles,[3] a widow, in 1871.[2] He served as reeve of the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews.[4] Bird was defeated when he ran for reelection to the provincial assembly in 1896.[5]

He died in St. Andrews, Manitoba at the age of 88.[1]
