John J. Gray is an American television writer and producer.

He is well known for his work on FX's American Horror Story.

Career

His career began on Joss Whedon's Angel, as an assistant to Tim Minear. He went on to assist Minear on his further endeavors, such as: Firefly, The Inside, Dollhouse, Terriers, and The Chicago Code. Gray followed Minear to his current series American Horror Story; where he has been promoted from story editor to supervising producer, now in its sixth year. He has written for four episode over the course of his time with the show.[1]
