John Hedigan (born 7 June 1954) is an Irish judge who has served as a Judge of the Court of Appeal since September 2016. He previously served as a Judge of the Irish High Court from 2007 to 2014 and a Judge of the European Court of Human Rights from 1998 to 2007.[1]

He was educated at Belvedere College, Trinity College, Dublin and King's Inns. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1976. He became a Senior Counsel in 1990. He was a Judge of the European Court of Human Rights from November 1998 to April 2007.[2]

He became a Bencher of the King’s Inns in 2002. He was called to the English Bar in 1986 and to the Bar of New South Wales Australia in 1993.

He was chairperson of the Civil Service Disciplinary Appeals Tribunal 1992-1994.
