John Giannandrea

John Giannandrea is a Scottish[1] computer scientist known for creating Metaweb and Freebase, and leading Google Search and Artificial intelligence[1] before joining as a senior executive at Apple Inc., leading its Machine Learning and AI strategy efforts.[2][3][4]

He was formerly CTO of the speech recognition company Tellme Networks, which he co-founded, and the Chief Technologist of the Web browser group at Netscape.
