John Dalton Alderson (born 3 February 1929) is a former cricketer who played first-class cricket for Canterbury in New Zealand in 1949-50 and 1950-51.
An opening bowler, Alderson took 5 for 66 in the first innings of his first-class debut in 1949-50.[1] He was less successful later, and lost his place in the team after two seasons.
