Joel Runyon is the founder of Impossible X[1] and blogger at IMPOSSIBLE. He is also the founder of Paleo Meal Plans LLC.

He is an athlete, endurance runner, businessman,[2] and speaker. His TEDx talk has received over 600,000 views.[3]

He is a frequent writer on Huffington Post[4], Virgin.com,[5] LifeHack and Mind Body Green.[6]

Impossible X LLC

Runyon founded Impossible Ventures in 2012[7] and has developed multiple brands under the Impossible umbrella. In 2016, he later renamed the company to Impossible X LLC.

Through the company, Runyon has developed four apps[8][9] and worked with multiple startups including SpotHero, Simple Energy and Chicago.com to help them grow their organic and paid traffic.

He also developed a blog, Impossible, with a focus on mental toughness and fitness. He has interviewed elite athletes like Kyle Maynard, David Goggins, and Bobby Maximus.[10] on his podcast Impossible Podcast.

In 2011, Impossible X launched an apparel line, Impossible Gear[11] featuring the trademarked Impossible logo.[12]

Paleo Meal Plans LLC

After seeing success in the fitness space, Runyon also launched several websites and apps based on the paleo diet. In 2016, Runyon spun these apps & websites out into a new business named Paleo Meal Plans LLC[14] in order to deliver meal plans, and other digital products in the paleo nutrition space.[15]

Books

In 2011, Runyon released an ebook entitled Impossible: The Manifesto.[16]

He has also written two fitness guides: Impossible TRI (defunct) and Impossible Abs.

Impossible.org

In 2012, Runyon raised over $26,000 to help build a school with the non-profit Pencils of Promise.[17][18][19]

Runyon has raised over $266,000 total through Impossible.org, the philanthropic branch of Impossible X.[20]

In 2014, Runyon announced he would be running 7 ultra marathons on 7 continents in order to help build 7 schools with Pencils of Promise.[21][22][23]

As of February 5, 2017, he has raised over $123,000 and finished five races.[24]

On April 15th, 2017 Runyon completed the running portion of the 777 Project by running the Two Oceans Marathon in South Africa and raising $156,199[25].

In June 2017, Jesse Itzler's movement WeDoHardStuff.com raised $36,124 to build the 7th school for the 777 Project. The total raised throughout the project totaled $192,323[26][27].

Ultra Running

Runyon began ultra running for charity in 2012. In February 2017, he joined the 7 continents marathon club having run marathon distance or longer on all 7 continents.[28][29]

In February 2017, Runyon became one of 5 people to run an ultra marathon on every continent.[30]
