Jody Adams (chef)

Jody Adams is a James Beard Foundation Award winning[1] (Perrier-Jouet Best Chef Award, Northeast, 1997)[2] chef and restaurateur in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She ran Rialto in Harvard Square for over 20 years.[1]

In July 2016, she opened Porto in Boston’s Back Bay.[3]

Biography

Adams attended Brown University and graduated with a degree in Anthropology.[1]

Adams trained under Lydia Shire and Gordon Hamersley. She became executive chef at Michaela's in East Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1990 where she stayed until she opened Rialto in 1994.[2]

Adams was a contestant on the second season of Top Chef Masters.[2] and received the James Beard Award in 1997.[4]
