James Joseph Sweeney (born August 8, 1962) is a former American football center and guard who played 16 seasons in the National Football League. He played for the Jets for 11 years, then the Seahawks for one year, and finally the Steelers for four years.

In December 2013, it was announced that Sweeney will serve as the offensive line coach for the Albany Great Danes under head coach Greg Gattuso.[1]
