Jill Gallard CMG (born 11 June 1968[1]) is a British diplomat who was ambassador to Portugal, and is Director of Human Resources at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Career

Gallard gained a MA degree in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh, then joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 1991. She has served at Madrid and Prague and in various posts at the FCO.[1] She was ambassador to the Portuguese Republic 2011–14.[2] She became Director of Human Resources at the FCO in 2014.[3]

Gallard was appointed CMG in the 2018 Birthday Honours.[4]
