The Jibboom Street Bridge is a historic metal truss swing bridge located on Jibboom Street in Sacramento, California, crossing the American River in Sacramento County. It was built in 1931. The main swing span is flanked by two Parker through truss spans.[1] The bridge was closed in 2018 after a maintenance report found that several elements of the superstructure had become unsafe. The closure is posted to last indefinitely - however CalTrans wants to reopen the bridge. It is unclear when or if that will happen.
