Jiaruipu Temple

Coordinates: 22°48′07″N 120°37′46″E / 22.8019°N 120.6294°E / 22.8019; 120.6294 The Jiaruipu Temple (Chinese: 加蚋埔公廨; pinyin: Jiā'nàpŭ Gōngxiè; Zhuyin Fuhao: ㄐㄧㄚ ㄋㄚˋ ㄆㄨˇ ㄍㄨㄥ ㄒㄧㄝˋ) is a Makatao(馬卡道族)'s temple in Gaoshu, Pingtung County, Taiwan.

History

The temple is in the northeast of Taishan Vill., Gaoshu Township, it's in the middle of farms. It's local Makatao people's religious center.[1]

April 16, 2011, Gaoshu, Neipu, Wanluan's Makatao people protest in here. They want the CIP claim they are Pingpu indigenous(平埔族), and they will the creation of Makatao Association.[2]

Name

"The temple name was 'A-mu House'(阿姆寮), "Pan Jinxiu told Liu Huanyue, but Siraya people named it to Gongxie(公廨).[3]
