Jesus Church (Oslo)

The Jesus Church is a Christian church. This denomination is considered evangelical in nature and attached to the Protestant confession. The greatest concentration of their churches exists in Norway. Their primary purpose is to make Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible relevant for today's youth. By the means of modern expression meetings, as well on the musical side of preaching, they wish to guide people toward a personal relationship with God and to live a Christian life that is not justified by obligations but by recognition.[1]

History

The Jesus Church was started on September 3, 2000 by pastors Stephan Christiansen and Anne Christiansen along with a group of young Norwegians eager to share the life of Jesus Christ. By 2001, the church was also established in Marseilles, France, but this has later been laid down again.
