Jermyn Street Theatre is a performance venue situated in Jermyn Street,[1] in London's West End.

Formerly the changing rooms for staff at the Spaghetti House restaurant, it was transformed under the leadership of Howard Jameson into a 70-seat studio theatre. It opened in August 1994. Its artistic directors include Neil Marcus, David Babani, Anthony Biggs and Tom Littler.[2]

In their mission statement, the theatre states that their aim is "to provide talented new actors, directors and writers with the opportunity to be recognised and given a platform in the best West End Studio Theatre."

In 2012 Trevor Nunn directed Michael Gambon and Eileen Atkins in the stage premiere of All That Fall by Samuel Beckett[3]. In October 2012 Anthony Biggs was appointed Artistic Director.[4] He was replaced in 2017 by Tom Littler, [5] who announced his intention to transform the theatre into a producing house.[6] [7]

In 2018 the theatre announced an almost complete revival of the Tonight at 8:30 cycle by Noel Coward.[8]

Its honorary patron is Princess Michael of Kent and its patron is Michael Gambon.

Location

The theatre is located at 16b Jermyn Street, close to the Criterion Theatre. The closest tube station is Piccadilly Circus.
