Jenny Yang

Jenny Yang is an American comic and writer in Los Angeles. Yang is the co-founder and co-producer of Dis/orient/ed Comedy, a nationally touring comedy showcase of Asian-American women, as well as the co-host of ISAtv's Angry Asian America along with Phil Yu of Angry Asian Man.[1] Yang is regularly featured on BuzzFeed Videos on Asian American issues.[2][3] Yang was featured in the 2013 Showtime documentary Why We Laugh: Funny Women.[4][5]

Yang was born in Taiwan and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles.[1] Dis/orient/ed Comedy was created by Yang, Atsuko Okatsuka, and Yola Lu, which debuted in 2012 at the historic David Henry Hwang Theater in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles.[6]

Education

Yang "graduated top of her class" in political science at Swarthmore College, and was a PPIA Fellow for a Master’s in urban planning at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)."[7]
