Jean Guerrero (born 1988)[1] is an investigative journalist[2][3] and a former foreign correspondent.[4] She is the author of the memoir: Crux: A Cross-Border Memoir, (2018, One World: Random House)[5] which won the PEN/FUSION Emerging Writers Award.[6][7] Her KPBS series America’s Wall[8] has won two emmys.[9] Guerrero is the Vice President of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists for San Diego and Tijuana.

Education

Guerrero received her B.A. in Journalism from University of Southern California[10] and her MFA in creative nonfiction from Goucher College.[10]

Crux: A Cross-Border Memoir

Crux: A Cross-Border Memoir was published in 2018 by One World: Random House. The book is an exploration of borders, Guerrero's father, and eventually Guerrero's own sense of self.[1]

Personal life

Guerrero's mother is a doctor.[1]
