Jean-Marc Savelli

Jean-Marc Savelli (born 18 October 1955) is a French pianist.^[1]

Known by the general public for his interpretations^[2] of works from Franz Liszt^[3][4][5] and Frederic Chopin, Jean-Marc Savelli^[6] also distinguished himself in the classical repertoire with Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven, and in the Impressionist repertoire of Claude Debussy.^[7]

Biography

Born in Mulhouse, Alsace, France, from an Alsatian mother, Marie-Louise Schreyer, (herself coming by her mother from a family of travelling musicians who performed in Eastern Europe, including in front of the Imperial Court of Russia, before settling in Alsace in the Lower Rhine), and a Corsican father, Gratien Savelli, met on the hazard of the Second World War, who often was singing "lamentus" Corsicans songs as well as other traditional Corsican songs. Established with his wife in Mulhouse, he nevertheless remained nostalgic for his native Corsica.

JM Savelli, soaked in this environment, is registered at the age of 8 years by his parents at the National Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art of Mulhouse beside Suzanne Muller-Gunst, piano teacher, who had wished, upon JM SAVELLI granting of the first prize at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Mulhouse, that Jean-Marc SAVELLI (first prize that he had obtained at the age of 12 years from a unanimous jury) could continue his studies at the National Conservatory of Music Basel (Switzerland).

Afterwards this is Paris and the Master Pierre Sancan,^[8] French pianist, that his parents choose, so that he could continue his musical studies, and prepare to join the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris (CNSMD)(Conservatoire de Paris).^[9] He succeeded his entrance exam and entered the class of Monique de La Bruchollerie,^[10] French international pianist, whose great career was abruptly stopped following a car accident.

Monique de la Bruchollerie died, it was a cataclysm for all students, especially for Jean-Marc Savelli who was very close to the personality of his master to whom he will make a final tribute, carrying her coffin with other of her students.

French international pianist Yvonne Lefébure,^[11] took over her formation.

Career

After a series of concerts in the world,^[12] Jean Marc Savelli momentarily has stopped his career but not the piano, for family reasons, but he has continued to practice piano.^[13] It was during this time that he devoted to the influence of music on people,^[14] and primarily for those who suffer.^[15]

He embodies his research with the help of doctors, by the establishment of an emotional level, usable by anyone other than the musicians.^[16] Since 2012, Jean Marc Savelli prepares his coming back of concerts devoted to Beethoven-Chopin-Liszt. He is expected back on scene in 2013.

2014 he presents his new album "CLASSICAL RECITAL", (American) Label "FAMOUS RECORDS CORP" ^[19][20]

The website "zippyshare" positioned Jean-Marc in the TOP 1000 artists playing Beethoven and placing Jean-Marc Savelli between Wilhelm Kempff and Vladimir Horowitz,^[21] and NUMBER ONE in the TOP 1000 for his performances in Franz Liszt.^{[22] [23]}
