Joey Khodanian (born 17 June 1989), better known by his stage name Jaykode, is an American DJ and producer based in Los Angeles, California.[1] Jaykode is best known for songs like 'Know Better' featuring Mister Blonde and 'Origin' along with his pioneered genre "Classical Bass".

Early life

Joey played classical piano at age 7. At 15 he learned to play the guitar while experimenting with metal and hardcore.[1] Joey began producing hip-hop and electro in 2008 citing Timbaland as one of his favorite hip hop producers and Flume as his biggest influence from the electronic world. Before producing and performing music full-time, Joey worked as an accountant juggling his musical career and professional life.[2][3] He stated his turning point in deciding to pursue a career in music full-time being when he heard Skrillex drop his unofficial remix to Beyonce's Drunk in Love live at Coachella in 2014 stating "that really made me reassured that I was doing something right".[3]
