Jatakam (Alternate spelling: Jathakam) (English: Horoscope) is a 1953 Indian, Tamil language film directed by R. Nagendra Rao.[3] The film featured T. K. Balachandran and Suryakala in the lead roles.[4]

Production
The film was first made in Kannada as Jataka Phala. It was also produced in Telugu as Jatakaphalam.[3][1]
The film was produced and directed by R. Nagendra Rao. Screenplay and dialogues were written by T. M. V. Pathi. Yoosuf Mulji was in charge of cinematography while the editing was done by S. Surya. Art direction was by A. Balu. Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiyah Pillai and Jaishankar handled the choreography. The film was processed at AVM laboratory.[2]
Soundtrack
Music was composed by R. Govardhanam while the lyrics were penned by T. K. Sundara Vathiyar. Playback singers are M. L. Vasanthakumari, M. S. Rajeswari, A. G. Rathnamala, P. B. Srinivas and G. K. Venkatesh.
P. B. Srinivas was introduced to Tamil films with the song Sindhanai En Selvame.[5]
