Its been heard that long queue of bullock carts running in hundreds were seen outside the theaters. It is estimated that film might have collected around 10 Crs highest ever in KFI at that time. Its a movie with no vulgar, violence or item nos. This added the image of the film as family film resulted in increase in footfall. Its a phenomenon at that time, every corner of karnataka will get to hear one or the other song of this movie, 'Mani Mani' song was leading the chart.

Praising Parvathamma's finance management skills, Nagabharana had revealed that she had hired two production managers who used to give the estimated expense of each of the scenes conceived by him. She would add additional 20% on that and would ask the technicians whether it would be sufficient. Once the budget was agreed upon, she would see that there it is never overshooted.[6]
