Career

Beginnings: 2015

In 2015, while being a student at the Hanyang University, Jang was first caught in the media for his bravery. It was reported Jang had come across a robber with a lethal weapon, threatening a convenience store clerk with a weapon in Seoul's Gwanak District, where he had devised a quick plan to have the culprit arrested. He was recognised with a commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for this act of heroism.[3][4] This popularity later had led him to receive many casting offers.

Acting debut: 2016–present

In 2016, Jang debuted as an actor with the Naver web drama, Women at a Game Company.[5] Later that year he was cast in the teen-mystery drama Solomon's Perjury.[6]

In 2017, he was cast in the KBS teen-romance drama School 2017.[7] The same year, he starred in the KBS Drama Special, If We Were a Season.[8]

In 2018, Jang was cast in the leading role for tvN's medical drama A Poem a Day.[9] The same year, he played a supporting role in the historical drama Mr. Sunshine.[10] Jang also made his silver screen debut with the indie film Beautiful Days, where he played Lee Na-young's son.[11][12] In December, Jang is set to star in the youth drama Dance Sports Girls which is based on the documentary of the same name.[13]
