Jan Sardi

Jan Sardi is an Australian screenwriter. In 1997, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Writing (Original Screenplay), for Shine. He has also written and directed Love's Brother, an adaptation of the Pre-Code movie A Lady to Love (1930), and adapted The Notebook, based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks.[1]

Sardi also adapted Li Cunxin's Mao's Last Dancer, which film was released in 2009.[2]
