Jan Franciszek Miodek (born 7 June 1946 in Tarnowskie Góry, Silesian Voivodeship[1]), Professor of Wrocław University, is a Polish linguist[2] of the prescriptive persuasion. Since 1989 he has held the post of the head (director) of the Institute of Polish Philology at the Wrocław University.[1]
He is one of the members of the Polish Language Council.[1]
