James Wei (engineer)

James Wei (born 1930) is an American chemical engineer.

Wei received his bachelor's degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1952, before pursuing graduate study at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a master's and a doctor of science degree. He was named a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 1978 and an academician of the Academia Sinica in 1982. Wei taught at Princeton University, where he was Pomeroy and Betty Perry Smith Professor of Chemical Engineering.[1]
