James M. Cahill

James M. Cahill (born circa 1956) is the 62nd and present Mayor of New Brunswick, New Jersey. He has held the office since 1991.

Biography

He is a lifelong resident of the city. Cahill has 2 children, one son and one daughter, and a wife named Laura. Cahill is a 1970 graduate of St. Peter's Preparatory School. He later attended Middlesex County College, Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), and Rutgers University. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law.[1] Prior to his election as mayor, Cahill served as an Assistant City Attorney for ten years.[2]
