James Heap

James Sutcliffe Heap (12 August 1882 – 30 January 1951) was an English cricketer active from 1903 to 1921 who played for Lancashire. He was born in Burnley and died in Bolton. He appeared in 211 first-class matches as a lefthanded batsman who bowled slow left arm orthodox. He scored 5,146 runs with a highest score of 132* and held 74 catches. He took 412 wickets with a best analysis of nine for 43. Lancashire organised a benefit for him in his final season, 1921, which realised £1,804.[1]
