Jameela Malik is an Indian film actress in south Indian movies.[1][2] She acted in Malayalam and Tamil films in 1970 and 1980s. She received critical acclaim and appreciation, for all the movies she acted, from the critics and audience as well.[3] She entered film field with the film 'Aadyathe Katha' in 1972.[4] She is the first woman from Kerala to graduate from India's prestigious Film and Television Institute of India.[5] She worked as teacher in schools. She was married for a year and has a son. She had also acted in more than twenty television serials during the 1990s.[6]

Personal life

She is born as eldest among four children to Malik Mohammed and Thankamma Malik at Jonakapuram, Kollam. Her both parents were into Congress politics. Her father was a municipal councillor after his death her mother was also elected as municipal councillor. She has two younger brothers Mluhural Hake and Fasalul Hake and a younger sister , Sara. She studied at Mohammedan Memorial School. [7]
