Jamal Elshayyal
Jamal Elshayyal (born 1975) is a British news producer for Al Jazeera English.[1]
He was a student at London's School of Oriental and African Studies.[2] In 2006, he joined Al Jazeera on the Middle East Desk.
Gaza flotilla
In 2010, he was covering the Gaza flotilla, and was on the top deck when the MV Mavi Marmara was attacked.[3][4][5] He was broadcasting before communications were cut.[6]
