Jama Mohamed Ghalib (Somali: Jaamac Maxamed Ghalib, Arabic: جامع محمد غالب) is a Somali writer, former military leader and police chief, and politician. He was a Major General in the army of the Somali Republic,[1] and was later appointed the Police Commissioner of the Somali Democratic Republic.[2] Ghalib also held various ministerial and cabinet positions in the government of Somalia, including Secretary of Interior,[3] Minister of Labor and Social Affairs,[4] Minister of Local Government and Rural Development,[5] Minister of Transportation,[1] and Minister of Interior.[2]
