History

Jagadbandhu Institution is a Bengali medium of South Kolkata. The school was established by Jagadbandhu Roy in 1914 at 25 Fern Road, Kolkata-19.[1] Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee laid the foundation stone on 11 January 1914. The first president and vice-president of the school were Asutosh Choudhury and Rai Bahadur Ramtaran Banerjee.[2] The first secretary was Rajendra Bidyabhusan.[3]
