Jacob Lee (born Jacob Lee Christian Blowes, 4 November 1994 in Southport, Queensland) is an Australian singer and songwriter. He was a member of will.i.am's top 6 of the third series of The Voice.[1] As well as Sea FM's boy band Oracle East in 2012.

In January 2016, Lee supported Justice Crew on their 'Live & Local Tour' in New South Wales, Australia.

Lee is also the founder and owner of Philosophical Records.

Life and early career

Lee's first public success was in 2012 as part of boyband "Oracle East". Devised by Gold Coast radio station Sea FM in their search for a "Gold Coast Boy band".[2] In 2011, Lee made it to boot camp of Season 3 of popular talent-search TV show, The X Factor (Australian TV series), at age 17 after Guy Sebastian believed he wasn't ready. In 2014, Lee appeared on the third season of The Voice Australia finishing in the top 6 of Will.i.Am's team.

In January 2016, Lee accompanied Australian boyband Justice Crew around their New South Wales tour from Coffs Harbour to Sydney, Australia.

Albums

2014–2015: Chariot

In June 2014, Lee released his debut Single "Chariot", released independent of any record label. As of the beginning of 2016 it has over 200,000 streams on Spotify.[3] The song made its debut on HIT 105 Brisbane's hit number one music station and was then played on the Gold Coast's Sea FM.

2016: Sine Qua Non

Lee's debut EP "Sine Qua Non" was released on February 6th, 2016.

It includes a total of four songs: "Ghost", "Heartstrings", "Chariot", and "Slip".

The EP was released independently of any label.

2017: Clarity, and the beginning of Philosophy

"Clarity", Lee's second EP, once again featured a total of four songs, with varying subject matter, entitled:

"I Just Know", "Secrets", "So Wrong", and "Breadcrumbs."

All of the songs on "Clarity" were released independent of any label, except for "I Just Know", which was released under Warner Music UK.

Later on in 2017, Lee released two other songs, as the start of a new album entitled "Philosophy", for which he is releasing the songs individually, over the course of a series of months.

The two released in 2017 were "Demons", and "Oceans".

Lee has referred to "Oceans" as one of his first songs that is from his perspective.

Philosophy also marked the creation of Lee's own record label: Philosophical Records, and all of his songs (Released "Demons, and those after that) are now being released under it.

2018: Philosophy

To further continue his album "Philosophy", Lee released "Black Sheep" in early 2018, as a way of presenting his thoughts on the current state of the popular music industry.

"Cursed" was released a month or so later, focused on the perspective of a person with schizophrenia.

"With You" and "I Belong To You" were released on the same day. "With You" surrounds the love a parent feels for their child, and "I Belong To You" is about romantic love, and Lee states in its official audio video on YouTube, that the song is dedicated to his brother and his wife Eva.[4]
