Jack Giarraputo

Jack Giarraputo is a film producer who co-founded Happy Madison Productions with Adam Sandler and has been involved in the creation of more than 30 films in a little over a decade generating more than $3.5 billion in the box office.[1][2] Most of his work has been in the comedy genre, notably films starring Sandler a class-mate from NYU. He has produced movies at Disney, Paramount, Sony, Fox and Warner Brothers. Jack is the currently the founder of UrLife Media and is also an active venture capital investor whose investments include Scientist.com and greenfence among others.

Film career

Along with partner Adam Sandler, he has built Happy Madison with 14 different movies surpassing the $100 million mark each. The films include Grown Ups 1 & 2, Paul Blart: Mall Cop and The Longest Yard amongst others.[1]

In 2016, Giarraputo retired from day to day film production after producing the Sandler comedy Blended and the Chris Columbus-directed Pixels, stating that he wants to focus more on raising his family.[3]

Personal life

Jack grew up in Patchogue, New York. He has a Bachelor of Arts from NYU's Stern School of Business and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. He lives in Malibu, California, with his wife, Michelle, and his two sons, Duke and Ace.[1]

In the world of venture capital, Jack owns the firm Sweet Water Capital, which he runs with partner Keith Lehman.[1]

His philanthropic endeavors include contributions and collaborations with Paralyzed Veterans of America, The Unstoppable Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation and Wounded Warriors, among others.[1]
