JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery is a bimonthly peer-reviewed medical journal published by the American Medical Association. It was established in 1999 as the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery and obtained its current title in 2013.[1] It publishes original, peer-reviewed articles addressing all aspects of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the head and neck.

It is an official journal of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (a specialty society of the American Medical Association), the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies.[2] The editor-in-chief is John S. Rhee (Medical College of Wisconsin). According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2017 impact factor of 2.388,[3] placing it in the upper echelon of titles covering aesthetic, cranial, facial, maxillofacial, plastic, and reconstructive surgery.
