J. Kelly Hall

J. Kelly Hall (January 13, 1959 – September 4, 2010) was the head women's basketball coach at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to coaching at Cincinnati, he was a top level assistant at various other schools. He served as the head women's basketball coach at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette from 2002 to 2007. From 2000 to 2002, he served as the associate head coach at the University of Louisville, as well as their recruiting coordinator.

He also served as an assistant coach at Auburn University, Cal State Fullerton, Mississippi State University, University of Alabama, and Troy State University. He has guided his teams to six NCAA tournament appearances, one WNIT appearance, and has coached six all-Americans. As a head coach, he has posted a 290-118 (.711) record. He completely transformed a struggling Louisiana-Lafayette program, and posted a 65-28 record over his final seasons there.

In 2006, he guided Louisiana-Lafayette to a 25-9 record, and a Sun Belt Conference regular season championship.

Hall died of a heart attack in his South Carolina home on September 4, 2010. He was 51 years old.[1]
