Jéssica de la Peña (born in New York City, United States, 1977) is a Colombian-American reporter and journalist for the private news channel RCN.

Biography

Jessica de la Peña was born in New York City, but grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia after her family returned to Colombia when she was five. Her most notable passions include dancing and singing. Her first casting for presenter she did in second half. In the beginning, was to present a program of the university, but her record in the chambers was so good that came Telecaribe studies, the regional channel, which first presented a variety show called The Night and then the news Televista.

Personal life

Jessica had a relationship with a singer from Valledupar, Peter Manjarrés, from 2008 to 2010. She was the inspiration for his song, "Tragao de tí." Unfortunately, their relationship did not last long.[1]

In 2010, Jessica started a new relationship with an engineer called Andres Jaramillo. In April, 2017 Jessica married businessman Ernesto Chalela.[2]

Career

  • Televista News: The Regional News informs viewers of local, and international Caribbean national events,
  • RCN News: She was anchorwoman of different editions of the newsreel between 1998 and 2016. In May, Jessica announced that she would travel to the United States to be a news correspondent for the RCN in New York and other cities of the country.[3]
