Izumiōtsu Station (泉大津駅, Izumiōtsu-eki) is a train station on the Nankai Main Line in Izumiōtsu, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Nankai Electric Railway.[1]

History

The station opened on 1 October 1897, named Ōtsu station (大津駅).[2] It was renamed Izumiōtsu Station on 1 July 1942.[2] The station was rebuilt as an elevated station, completed in August 2012.[2]

Passenger statistics

In fiscal 2011, the station was used by an average of 24,898 passengers daily.[2]
