The following is a list of the men's basketball champions of the Ivy League. The Ivy League was the last Division I conference without a tournament following the regular season. At the conclusion of the regular season the team with the best league record was the league champion and received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. If two or more teams tied for first place they shared the league title and a playoff was held to determine the recipient of the NCAA tournament bid. Beginning in 2017 a tournament consisting of the top four teams in the standings will be held to determine the recipient of the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. However, the league championship will still be based on regular season standings. The 2017 tournament will be held at The Palestra.[1]
