Assignment

He finished off Dapena Thompson's last few weeks mayoral term[1] (December 1988 to January 1989) via appointment by his political party, the PNP.[2] In 1988, former elected mayor Dapena Thompson had been charged as co-author of embezzlement of federal funds from HUD;[3] as a result he had resigned as mayor.[4] Ayala Cádiz had also been a Superior Court Judge in 2004.[5]
