The Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch (Persian: دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد کرج, Dāneshgāh-e Āzād-e Eslāmi vahed-e Karaj) is one of the best and comprehensive branch of the Islamic Azad University which was established in Karaj, Alborz, Iran in 1984. It started its activities with 500 students who studied in 7 fields of study. Nowadays this big university complex consists of 11 faculties, 1 high college, 1 technical college and 1 educational center and 3 research centers.[2]
As of October 2016, the university is ranked as the 629th best university in the world according to U.S. News and World Report.[3]
