Isidro Sánchez Macip (born May 6, 1987) is a Canadian former soccer midfielder. As of March 14, 2018, it was announced that he would be promoted to head coach of the Las Vegas Lights FC. His father, José Luis Sánchez Solá, previously served as head coach, and later technical director.

Career

Sanchez began his career 2006 in his hometown with Puebla F.C. His first game for the club came in the Primera División de México - Apertura 2007.[1]

International career

Sánchez was a member of Canada's Olympic team pursuing a place at the Beijing games in 2008.[2]

Personal life

Both parents were born in Puebla. Sánchez's father, José Luis Sánchez Solá, was also a footballer, but he never played professionally. Sánchez's mother got her Canadian citizenship after living in Canada for five years, allowing Sánchez to do likewise. He is nicknamed Pidri.
