Ishari K Ganesh is the founder Chairman and Chancellor of the Vels University in Chennai, India.[1] He founded the Vael's Educational Trust in 1992 in the memory of his late father Shri.Isari Velan, a former minister in the state government of M. G. Ramachandran.

He is the president of the Pachaiyappa's Trust board.[2]

He is the secretary of the consortium of colleges affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.[3]

Ishari K Ganesh has a production house “Vels Film International” producing Films for the Tamil Film Industry. Vels Film International has embarked on a landmark project. KizhakuAfrikavil Raju, a dream project of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. "Bogan" "LKG" "Junga" being other movies.
