Irreligion in Italy

Religion in Italy according to the Global Religious Landscape survey by the Pew Forum, 2012[1]

  Buddhism (0.2%)
  Hinduism (0.1%)
  Other religions (0.3%)

Irreligion and general secularism are prevalent in Italy.[2] Only 50% of Italians identify as Catholic.[3] 13% of Italians identify as non religious.[4] The earliest recorded accounts of athiesm was in 1550's.[5]
