Irma Wolpe

Irma Wolpe (1902 – 1984) was a Romanian-born composer, born Irma Schoenberg in Bucharest in 1902.[1][2][3][4][5][6] She studied the piano and Dalcroze eurythmics in Berlin.[2] She was a close friend of the German classical music composer Stefan Wolpe.[2] In 1934, she immigrated to Palestine with Wolpe and they were married in Jerusalem.[2] She concertized actively and taught at the Palestine Conservatoire.[2]
