İrfan Suat Günsel (born 9 October 1981) is a Turkish Cypriot businessman, chairman of the board of trustees of the Near East University and chairman of the board of trustees of the University of Kyrenia, both of which were founded and are 100% owned by his father, Suat Günsel.

Early life

He is the eldest son of Suat Günsel. He completed his elementary, secondary and high school education at the Near East College, an affiliated institution of part of the Near East University, founded and owned by his father.[1]

He has bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees in law from Near East University.[1][2][3]

Career

Günsel has been a lecturer in Near East University's Faculty of Law and Faculty of Maritime Studies since 2004.[4] He was the University's General Coordinator from 2004 to 2009.[5] He has been the chairman of its board of trustees since 2009.[6] In 2014, the university awarded him the degree of Associate Professor[7]
