International School of Panama (ISP) is an international school in San Miguelito, Panama City, Panama.[1] It serves grades Kindergarten through 12.[2]

Several Panamanian and foreign families established the school in 1982; at the time it was an elementary school with 35 students operating in three residential buildings in La Cresta. The parents, under The International School of Panama Association, received authorization from Panamanian authorities to establish an official educational institution in 1985. It later moved to its current facility in Cerro Viento.[3] As of 2017 the school has 1,200 students from over 50 countries. As 2017, the director of the International School of Panama is Viki Stiebert .[2]

The school actively encourages the use of education in technology and integrates it into its education. "ISP students bring learning alive through their use of technology and work to make a difference in their country: Near Space launches, TedX conferences, live streaming sporting events and performances, social improvement projects, digital citizenship poster competitions, and many more activities."[4] As of the 2016-2017 academic year ISP offers an innovation and entrepreneurship program for students that do not wish to pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. This program aims to "do work and learning focused on answering a question or solving a problem (that they themselves have framed/identified) via a blend of classroom work, research, and real-world experience (fields studies, internships, etc.)."[5]
