International Journal of Operations & Production Management

The International Journal of Operations and Production Management is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Emerald Group Publishing. It is the official journal of the European Operations Management Association and publishes "leading-edge, innovative research that has the potential to significantly advance the field of Operations and Supply Chain Management, theoretically and practically. Drawing on the experiences of both manufacturing and service industry sectors, in both private and public settings, the journal has become a widely respected resource in a complex and increasingly important field in business management".^[1]

The journal publishes articles on a wide variety of topics, mainly focusing on supply chain management and operations management. Further subtopics include capacity planning and control, delivery performance, ergonomics, human factors in operations, industrial engineering, just in time, lean/agile production, maintenance, management of organizational or technological change, MRPII, performance measurement, plant location design and layout, process and product design, production planning and control, productivity, quality in operations, scheduling and load planning, service operations, strategy in manufacturing operations.

The International Journal of Operations and Production Management publishes twelve issues per year, and is currently edited by the editors Constantin Blome (University of Sussex, UK), Cristina Giménez (ESADE, Spain) and Tobias Schoenherr (Michigan State University, US).

According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2016 impact factor is 3.339, and its 5-year impact factor is 4.211 (2016).
