Industria Argentina de Vehículos de Avanzada (IAVA) is a company created by the group of Fiat dealers in the Argentine in 1971.

As Abarth in Italy, the goal of such a birth was to provide the Argentine industry with a higher performance vehicle and more powerful than the argentian Fiat 128 produced so far. The philosophy was to use the platform of this new car, based on a motor of 1100 cm3 displacement located transversely. Thus, IAVA offered in addition to the innovations of power, more comfort, sporty elegance and even aerodynamic accessories.

It should be noted that IAVA also made its versions on the Fiat 147 which he named Fiat 147 Sorpasso, on the Fiat 133 called Fiat 133 IAVA and Fiat 133 Top.

IAVA created a buggy called Kikito Buggy which produced less than 25 units, 2 berlinetta-type prototypes, a motor for boats on an SSB structure and a prototype for the firm Mara. In addition, it made an engine to equip a vehicle of national formula[1].

IAVA filed its formal bankruptcy in 1985.
